Ant Movie Catalog is a DVD movie cataloging software. This is a free application that can help you if you have a huge collection of movies and don't really know how to organize it. This cataloging software takes a rather simplistic approach. On the left, you will see a field where movies are added. That is going to be your list. On the right, there are the details of the selected movie. I am inclined to say that this is one of the best applications of its kind out there. It lacks some features, but the core features are all there. You can keep a record of all your "loans" so that you never forget who had what movie. You can enter the details of the movies manually, or you can simply add the original title and look the details up online. Just by running one of many scripts that come with this application, you can download all the details of the movie and a nice cover too. I haven't really tried importing my whole collection and updating it automatically, but should that work, I am going to switch to Ant Movie Catalog real soon.
